      Yes. It is designed for freshwater sources such as creeks, lakes, rivers, rain tanks and tap water under boil notices. It is not intended for saltwater.

      The two-stage design helps reduce bacteria, protozoa, sediment, chlorine taste and odor-causing organic compounds. It is not rated for viruses, saltwater or dissolved heavy metals.

      Place the intake end in freshwater and drink through the mouthpiece. You can also attach it to a standard bottle or hang it above a clean container for gravity filtering.
